Mr. Thomas next proposed that the treasurer be instructed to inquire of the ex-treasurer, A.B. Means, whether or not he, the said Means, had paid the boy Louis for certain service ... the society and if he had not, that he the treasurer be instructed to pay immediately the said Louis his dues, which being recorded by Mr. Dearing, was carried by a majority of the members present.
