The society convened this morning at the usual hour. The minutes of the preceding meeting were read. The declaiming and senior classes having performed their duties, the society went into discussion of the following question. "Ought slavery to be abolished in the Southern States?"Which, after a tolerable discussion was decided in the negative, six to five.
